Question about Xbox emulators

If I buy the digital download version of, say, Halo 4

Will I then be able to use that on PC via an Xbox emulator? Or does this only work if I have a disk?

Reading the part about piracy should be enough to understand the rules, yet you still struggle. If you still didn't search Steam forums for "PCSX2" - do that. People only get banned for discussing illegal stuff. Emulators are legal.

most x360 games will work on xbone and can be played on pc when streamed from the xbone

or if they are from the ms store, you can download/install/play the pc version on pc or xbone

It was pretty dumb to cut off only parts that prove your point, considering I can always post the whole sentence, which is "Discussion of piracy including, but not limited to:". The rule was about piracy, and console emulators on their own are not piracy, else why do you think everyone discusses emulators just fine?
Just, idk, put "PCSX2" on a search box, press enter and see for yourself thousands of posts discussing PS2 emulator. Using an emulator is perfectly legal and has nothing to do with piracy, that rule forbids discussing things like how to obtain someone else's console BIOS or someone else's game ROM, as those things are illegal and can lead to Valve having problems because of their users. But if, for example, I create a thread asking people why PPSSPP has such a big input latency and how to negate it - I'm free to do so, as the software itself doesn't break any rules.

if you were to take the bulleted items on their own and leave out the context of piracy we wouldn't be able to talk about cracks in walls or cracks in floors or cracks in ceilings or people to legitimately generate their own keys for various things like pgp or the actual game on steam called "The Emulator".

or xbox gamepass has all of the halo games 1-5 for $15/mo (or $1 for first month)

again, not emulated you get the console and pc ver of the games til your pass expires or they are removed from it

or you can buy them if you want to keep them forever

but 1 month isnt long enough to play through them for most people
