I mainly play CS:GO and Minecraft,
Occasionally some GTA-V or TF2.

Which GPU would be better for me?

1660 SUPER = £250

1660 Super is definitely the better deal.

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1660S-Super-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1650/4056vs4039 60 quid for at least a 60% performance uplift. No reason to buy a 1650S unless you can't afford the 1660S whatsoever.

Go for 1660 Super, it`s quite good 1080p card and will hold up lot longer then 1650 Super.
Or just look at AMD 5600 XT or 5700, especially what Sapphire has.
How about the 1660 vanilla ~£200? Seems to have a bit more punch than the 1650S IMO for a very slight cost penalty...

I mean I also have to ask why you spent so much money on a 750W PSU... Unless it was a prebuilt

Dont bother, it has older and slower GDDR5 memory, 1660 Super and Ti have GDDR6. performance difference is noticeable.

1660 ain't worth it unless you can get it for considerably less than a 1660 Super.

Bro what kind of prebuilt has specs like mine? Must be a damn good prebuilt, can’t find any good PSU’s for any good price here in UK so I just bought a high quality one cuz why not. Will never need to upgrade 👍

You bought a 750W PSU which is sufficient for even an i9-9900K and RTX 2080Ti.. and you're buying a 1660 when you could've easily toned down on the PSU wattage and bought a better CPU or GPU...

Not the wisest decision.

And yes, there are prebuilts with good specs.

There's nothing wrong with getting a 750W PSU instead of a 550W or 650W PSU. The price difference actually isn't much at all if you're really looking, and sometimes you can get a 750W unit on sale for around the same price as a weaker unit.

He already has the PSU anyway, no sense in bugging him about getting one with more wattage than necessary.
If you have the money and are considering the 1660S... why not just get it? Best GPU you can afford and all...

there isn't anything wrong with getting a 750W PSU if you're going to need it and it isn't going to limit your budget, in this case he's buying a 1660S at best so why would you spend extra money on a higher wattage PSU when you can spend it on a better card or CPU? It's going to limit his options.

I know he already has it, just informing him that it probably wasn't worth it (unless he got it on sale)

It is generally worth it considering the power consumption of components is increasing and not decreasing anymore. Intel Comet Lake is pretty much using almost twice as much power as Coffee Lake, and NVIDIA is getting really power hungry again, while AMD is the only one making an effort to drop power consumption.
He made it clear that he got a better one with more wattage because he didn't want to upgrade the PSU sooner.

Also, not all 650W PSUs can actually handle nearly that much power draw, because quality makes a big difference. Lower quality units like GQ compared to quality units like SuperNova would be better bought at a higher wattage for that exact reason.
There are also "fake" bronze, gold, etc. units that are only just meeting the efficiency spec but in reality are still one efficiency tier below what they're advertised. For instance, a "fake" gold unit would actually still be a bronze unit in terms of quality and efficiency.

he is still safe to upgrade even with a 600-650W PSU.

I know, but he got a 750W Gold.

GQ is not high tier. It's not actually much better than a Corsair CXM; pretty much anything from EVGA that isn't SuperNova is not very good.
