New NVIDIA driver is tanking game performance?

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm getting extremely low framerates in games which were running perfectly. I have a GTX 1080 so this really shouldn't be an issue. Freaking Dark Souls 3 was running at 30 to 20 FPS!! I would appretiate any help or info greatly.

Did you resently update your gpu drivers? If yes than that might be the problem. Also make sure you dont have any very demanding anti aliasing filters enabled that will render your game a 8k or something.

So basically, updating new drivers for my card will only make games run worse? How does that make any sense? Downloading routine drivers from Gefore Experience has never been a problem in the past, why now?

No its not suposed to make your card run like ♥♥♥♥ its not the fault of the drivers something is wrong with your pc or the software on it. Can you post your specs cpu gpu ram. And are you sure you have installed your drivers for everything not only your gpu?

4095MB? as far as I am aware there is only a 8gb version of the card.

The new Nvidia drivers 375.86 are bugged for the 1080's. Go back to 375.70 for now if you have a 1080. Threads are starting to pop up all over about the issue. I had the same problem.

I tries to roll back but the button was greyed out so I uninstalled the driver entirely. Now my computer thinks I have no graphics card. I don't know what to do now. Help please

Do a google search for Nvidia drivers and download 375.70 drivers and run the program make sure to check "Clean Install"

Download DDU, this will remove everything driver related > it gives you an option to run in safe mode so do that > then go to Nvidia and get your driver , if the newest gives you issues still run DDU and remove everything again and get the previous driver that worked well for you..

I tried downloading the previous driver, but the installer says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". What do I do now?
