21:9 IPS Glow

Hello Guys,

I got my 34UC79G-B , its a beauty <3 but i have ips glow and i want to know if its GOOD or BAD, cause i think mine is pretty awesome, and ive seen so much worse dunno?

hopefully you see something, its near 100% is i am seeing it, little little bit more red...

and hopefully someone with IPS experience can tell me if its near perfect, or bad, in my opionion its good.

IPS glow is completely normal. It is just in the way that IPS works. A lot of people do not know this and simply think that any glow is not acceptable, which is silly. Another issue is that people mistake IPS glow and backlight bleed.

The IPS glow (orange glow that comes from corners) in that video looks perfectly acceptable. You should be more worried about finding any dead or stuck pixels, which is also considered acceptable to have. Despite what many believe, panel makers have varying dead pixel tolerances.

thanks for the reply ! only have have a little backlight bleed, minimal, near perfect, dead pixels nope..stuck pixel...nope!

Looks perfect to me, that's just healthy IPS glow.

This won't change until OLED Displays are more common; those have the ability to switch each LED on/off (they turn off for Black) instead of constant back-lighting like current LCDs

thanks for the replys, i hope you see this video as i do, a friend watched it on his pc and all he saw was black lol...so for him the video was nonsense.
