GTX 960 vs GTX 1050

Thinking of upgrading from 960 to a 1050, is there a big difference or na?

no there is not. a 960 even sometimes performs better. Todays standard is 4GB VRAM at least. SO you shouldnt go with less then 1050 Ti. In you case you should upgrade with a 1060 6GB at least.

960 is better, it's on par with 1050 Ti. Budget GPU does not advance as fast as higher end GPU.

save up your money and upgrade to a gtx 1080 you might have to upgrade other things as well it depends.

It's a very big jump from 1050 Ti to 1080 money wise. Just stick to 1050 Ti.

and totally overpriced if you only play at 1080p. by the time when you actually need it for 1080p there already better and cheaper GPU's on the market.
Typical children thinking that more is always better.

well he didnt say what his budget was or his specs. you are correct you upgrade one thing, then you have to upgrade the monitor pc gaming is not cheap. im not a child taco i just like being able to play any pc game with maxium performance its called loving pc gaming and loving life not being a "child"

if he bought a 960 then he clearly doesnt have a 4K screen nor a 1440p 144Hz screen. for which he would need a GTX 1080. The logical next step would stick at the 60's variants but still senseless to upgrade now when Vega is coming and Volta isnt far behind. Also prices at the current models he would have to look at are messed up as hell.

i have a gtx 1080 and im loving life how much does a gtx 1080 cost? you would have to shop around to get the best deal. what games do you play?

forget a 1080. its more then 500$ and unless you have at least a 1440p 144Hz screen its just wasted money. Wait until you have more money, Vega released and best when even Volta has been released. Alsow ait until prices for GPU normalize. Currently they are messed up for mining.
