Does more VRAM on an integrated graphics card improve gaming performance?
So I watched a video here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szn5Mgb-IQs

And I ended up going from 218 mb of dedicated video memory to 512 mb, however I did not see a boost in frames when gaming, though it seems to be working for other people?

Well its not exactly about the fps but more about the speed the picture gets processed and displayed.

If you move into a large world you see how the thing get rendered by the time and starting to build up and get sharper by time in the distance. VRAM greatly improves that. Still there isnt much difference from 256 MB to 512 MB as the difference (even tho its twice) to todays standard is marginal. Todays standard is at least 4GB of VRAM.
Just imagine a car, now you mod your car to have a bigger trunk.
The engine and everything else stays identical.

You can put more stuff into your car, but it won't be any faster.
