Would it be reliable buying GPU's from Cex? (UK Shop)
Hello

Cex is a business that focuses in selling 2nd hand technology, apparently, everything is tested and only sold if functional, you can get some real bargains, such as an I5 4960K for £130 or a GTX 970 for £180.

with RX 570/580's practically unobtainable and GTX 1060's rising in price, would Cex be a good idea?

I've never bought PC components from CEX, but I have bought mobiles, tablets, controllers and the like.

I've never had a bad experience with CEX, but even with their rigorous testing, they can only confirm that the product works right now, and not whether it's on its last legs.

I probably wouldn't buy a GPU from CEX unless it came with at least a 12 month guarantee.
As long as the price is competitive and it's "sealed, new in the box"
What does it really matter?
If you have a problem after the purchase, you have full warranty from the products brand maker.

CEX only sells second hand hardware. Warrenty will not be honered by the manufacture.
Check with them but I'm sure they increased warranty from 12 months to 24 months including for computer components a year or so ago.

Had several phones and a few tablets without any problems. Had my current Phone for over a year and a tablet for almost 3 years.

Buy new, dont buy second hand anything for PC stuff.
