Did GTX 1050TI will run on my old motherboard ?

I want to buy a new graphic card, i bought my pc at 2012. My mobo series is Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2P, and now can i run GTX1050TI well on that PC ? Its have PCI-E x16 2.0 but i think the 3.0 will run on it, so GTX1050TI will run well on it ?

1050 ti = about = to a good GTX 960 card , as far as performance ..if ya can find a decent GTX 1060 6 gig vid card = about = to a GTX 980

i think 1050ti is enough for my stuff, and 1060 were still expensive right now

just for making sure that i can run 1050ti well on my old pc, so i going to buy that new one, thanks for ur answer

did it work for you? i have the same motherboard and the same graphics card but when i plug everything in the monitor is all black :(

it works for me now, just use the monitor that support the dvi socket, then connect it with dvi to dvi cable to your graphic card. it works for me now
