Mic being picked up by Discord but not Windows without Voicemeeter

Recently after I relocated my Program Files directory, my mic has entirely stopped being picked up by Windows, and thus any games I play, unless I use voicemeeter. This is extremely strange, especially considering the fact that Discord, using the Windows default mic, picks up my my voice through the same mic that Windows will not. Any help is appreciated, if more information is needed, let me know.

Did you relocate program files to another drive ? For example, from C: --> D: ?
Reinstall audio drivers might help

Windows may have trouble finding the necessary data regarding certain programs or devices if the program files were relocated to another drive, resulting in devices and /or programs not working properly anymore

Thank you for the help. I had assumed I messed up something with my relocation, and updating my drivers was the go to thing, but I never thought to completely reinstall them. My mic is working now.
