OP, if your fan is already at max, then maybe something is wrong with the paste. Acer used a shoddy quality thermal paste that dry up earlier than it should.
Desktop have much better cooling, allowing them to go higher in temp as desired.
Laptop tend to have below the average cooler. It'll get hot faster. I absolutely refuse to let my CPU go above 75 degree range. Anything more is bad for Acer Nitro or laptop in general.

I haven't had a laptop in a long time but got the impression that nowadaya (post-2010) they were like junk that generally barely lasted longer than two years. An HP one I had back in like 2004 lasted me a bit even after taking some tough hits (literally) and broke by being crushed, but after that I would just run into people handing me laptops to fix and the screen was gone and just had issues that weren't worth the hassle of repairing. Are they still good?
The main reason that people's laptop broke. Dirty, dropped often, virus, counterfeit adapter, counterfeit battery, high speed and show slow vibration, and whisker from lead-free. I have seen counterfeit break power jack on my brother's laptop, but I fixed it with soldering for ten dollars.
Even I told my friend about my 19 years old laptop and they said their laptop never lasting that long. So the average of my friends' laptop is 4 to 5 years.
Yeah hardware quality improved from decades. It depends how you keep your laptop in good condition. With regular cleaning and monitoring your temperature every time a while to see if anything changed, your laptop will last surprisingly long.
My desktop lasted alright. 8 years old because I maintain it. Now it just crap itself due to outdated cpu (from 2008-2009) and slow hdd.
So, we agree that your laptop lifespan vary on individual and how they take care of it, yes?
In short, 90 C on Nitro is normal. If you conitnuously keep gaming at 95+ C then it is time to apply Kryonaut Paste.
