WiFi Slow When Using GPU
So this is very strange and i have not been able to find any information around online. Whenever my GPU has a high load, my internet speeds drop significantly. I've tried using a PCIe WiFi card as well as on board WiFi (Ethernet is unavailable at the moment). I've tested WiFi speeds without the GPU in use and found they were normal. Speeds without GPU in use: 230 Mbps Speeds with GPU in use: 20 Mbps My first thought is that my PSU is too weak. Or drivers are corrupted but I ran DDU multiple times with no change. All other drivers are updated The only change in my system was upgrading a GTX 1080 to an RTX 2080ti.

Setup:
3900x
Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite Wifi
Asus Dual RTX 2080ti
32 GB 3200Mhz Corsair LPX
PCIe m.2 SSD
Asus PCE AC68
3x mechanical HDD 2x SSD
4x140mm fans 4x120mm fans
Thermaltake 850w PSU

My next plan was to fresh install Windows but that would be my last resort. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful

Currently do you have the second wifi adapter in the pc? if so is it usb or pci-e?

You got eight fans on your pc? You try 5ghz and 2.4 ghz?

The Asus PCE AC68 is a PCIe card. But the issue persists when using the on board wifi as well as the wifi card

You try both bands?

Wipe the driver for the wifi. Get the latest driver from the wifi chipset maker, not the motherboard maker.

I have tried both bands, same result. Of course the 2.4g speed wasn't very fast to start with

I have done this multiple times. Uninstall and reinstall Wifi drivers for the wifi card. Same for the RTX 2080ti.

I have tried using all the PCIe slots, except the top x16 slot of course for my GPU

Your GPU is on PCIEX16_1 right?

yes

And same thing happens with onboard wi-fi even when PCI-e wifi is pulled out?. Pretty funky. You update bios to latest?

It may have an rf from GPU that can affect wifi card. Try moving your antenna away from PC. And make a shield board with aluminum foil. Use brown paper size as wifi card, but a bit bigger than that, then put a foil on brown paper. Use a nonconductive tape to cover all exposed metal so that it doesn't short your motherboard and car. When you finished making a shield, put it on top of the wifi card.

Brown paper should be bottom and foil should be top.

So don't run your GPU at 99%, how about that?
