Waste of money.

Yeah that is a waste of money, then of course if you are making $20-$40,000 a year after rent, taxes and expenses then I could see you spending that much, truth is you don't need anything more then a 1070, and you could esily get away with using a RX 480 8GB which costs sub $300, also what is making up the other $1500 of your build?

Not everybody wants that, and a lot of people can afford to spend that much. I have a $3100 machine; they last virtually forever and need very few upgrades. Over time the cost balances itself out quite nicely.

For $2000 you'll want a 1070, not a 1080.
