How bad would the bottleneck be on a GTX 1060 with an FX-6300 CPU?
I currently have a GTX 960 GPU and I want to upgrade to a 1060, but I'm worried about the CPU bottleneck on my 6300. I don't have many options for a CPU upgrade since my MoBo only takes AM3+ socket CPUs. If I don't Upgrade my CPU first how bad will the bottleneck be? What do I do?

I doubt there will be significant bottleneck.

It will bottleneck a bit but I wouldn't worry too much about it. You'll still get a decent performance bump in most games.

Not worth upgrading the CPU at all, really. Anything else on the AM3+ socket will be mostly a lateral move. It would be just as well to OC the one you already have.

It will bottleneck a bit, but not enough to justify buying a new cpu first imho. I think you would bennifit from a gpu upgrade before anything else, and the gtx1060 is a great card for 1080p 60 fps gaming in general; future proof enough at those settings that you could slowly save up for a new cpu/mobo/ram setup in the future.

I wouldn't worry too much about bottlnecking with your specs, they're fair enough as is, and technically you can never get rid of bottlnecks 100%. Just upgrade your rig incrementally, gpu first and foremost.

No real bottlenecking ^.

Nothing much to worry about ^.

GPU pegged at %99 ^

I'll boil down to individual games.

keep in mind the above videos the cpu is at 4.5ghz thats a full 1ghz over stock 3.5ghz... it will bottleneck a bit on most games... directx12 not so much
