What game?

What gpu do you have?

Can't comment on those until you give me a hint ^.

Your cpu is perfectly fine for anything to date including DX12 titles.

I'm sorry to say, but your system just isn't powerful enough for gaming. It can't be upgraded, either. If you want to play PC games, you're going to need to start again from scratch.

For most games you need a Graphics Card(GPU) of some kind, but because of the design of your system there isn't enough physical space to install it. The power supply itself couldn't support a GPU either and can't be upgraded due to the SFF design.

if you are talking about dead by daylight...

MINIMUM:
OS: 64-bit Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows 8 & Windows 8.1)
Processor: Intel Core i3-4170 or AMD FX-8120
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: DX11 Compatible GeForce GTX 460 1GB or AMD HD 6850 1GB
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 15 GB available space
Sound Card: DX11 compatible

low - med, maybe.

I doubt it would run at all, according to Google that model of Optiplex is running on integrated graphics only.

The CPU is good
The RAM is good

But if its using the CPUs Integrated graphics, then no.

It's integrated graphics and SFF. Fixed powersupply and no space for a GPU. Pretty much a dead-end for gaming.

there is two versions of the opti 790 a mini tower with standard size pci slot width and standard atx power supply (265w) and the sff with 240w sff power supply and support for pci-e low profile cards..

the sff is very limited id agree

Well I guess the critical question is, which type does OP have?

> The standard size model would be a great base to start from, great CPU and lots of RAM.
> The SFF would need to be scrapped, it has zero gaming potential at all.

You could change the case and the PSU of the optiplex to salvage the motherboard, CPU, RAM and HDD and stuff though couldn't you? Or is it a custom size motherboard with no PCIe x16 slot?

Looked custom to me. But honestly, it's going to have an office motherboard anyway. If you're ven considering stripping it, you may as well start from a clean sheet of paper.

It's worth a shot to look into it though, if the cpu/mobo/ram and whatever other bits n pieces can be salvaged to a $25 case he's just need a gpu/psu provided the mobo actually has a pci e slot on it.

Anyway it seems the OP is MIA.
