Screenshots on Linux
When I open the screenshots uloader I see only Vew Online Library, but not "View on disk" . Therefore I cannot upload any screenshot at all. I don't know what's the problem, has anyone been into similar situation? Is it the client or some persmission issue or?

You drag the borders of the window out more to see if any buttons were hidden?

Nope. dragging the borders doesn't help. Nothing is hidden at least to the edge of my screen.

Try opting into the Beta client in steam settings, account

Nope. beta doesn't help. I still can see only "View online library", there's nothing about files on local disk.

What does that have to do with uploading them. View on Disk is just an option allowing user to easily jump to the local disk folder they happen to be in, which isn't hard to go find manually. If you took screenshots in steam, then it should have an upload option, which is really all you should need. If it doesn't show the view local files option, they probably don't exist on disk anymore and have already been uploaded.

You can also enable an option in steam settings for "save hi-res versions of screenshots to folder" and then select the user folder you wish to save them to. These will be seperate images saved during the screenshot process.

The whole problem is that I cannot upload screenshots in any way. I can only upload artwork. I know where my screenshots are, Steam also knows it (it's pointed to the correct directory). But if you cannot see the files on the local disk, you obviously also cannot upload them trough Steam.

Sounds to mee like it simply never saved any screenshots at all if those options aren't there. Does it show thumbnail for your taken screenshots?
denijane 7 ABR 2020 a las 7:30 a. m.
No, it doesn't show absolutely anything. But I have 60 screenshots in the screenshot directory and Steam is definitely pointed to it. Also. I can make screenshots easily, I have tons of screenshots in each games screenshot directory. It's just that for some reason Steam cannot see them at all.

It can't see them if they weren't taken in game with Steam overlay + steam screenshot hotkey.

Well I changed the screenshot key to match the one Steam uses - F12. And it works - the screenshots are on my hard. The overlay is enabled in settings. But do I need to do something speicific to enable it ingame?
Bad 💀 Motha 7 ABR 2020 a las 7:57 a. m.
No, steam will then handle the screenshots via F12 key for all steam games.

If a game has its own ingame screenshots option, disable this key, as this will be handled by the game and just go into a game screenshots folder in your Documents folder which won't be shown or used by Steam Client.

Hm, it seems that for some reason the overlay is not working. I changed the key activating it to Num Lock because it seems that's the only thing KSP has not mapped, but still, it doesn't work. I also added LD_PRELOAD='/home/USERNAME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' to my launch options, also checked that gameoverlayrenderer.so is indeed inthe directory, still, not working.
It's not working also for other games. Hm.
