aticfx64.dll Unity games won't launch
Originally tried to launch Town of Salem and was meet with a TownOfSalem.exe has stopped working error. looked in crash log and the issue was
"Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\aticfx64.dll"
I've tried verifying caches, running as admin, uninstalled steam and games, updated windows/direct x/adobe, reinstalled & updated api drivers but nothing has worked.
Recently reinstalled Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and figured out its just an Unity game issue.
Error message; "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes has encountered an error and must close"
Crash report states "aticfx64.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module aticfx64.dll at 0033:03310b1e."
Any idea what is going on? Other games run just fine.

In a command prompt with administrative rights run: sfc /scannow

If that doesn't work boot Windows in to safe mode and use DDU to wipe your AMD GPU drivers. Then reinstall the drivers.
Amd if same driver has issues still after a ddu wipe, try ddu wipe again and then download/install an older amd gpu driver and see if that helps.

Unity games also will require some form of Visual C Runtimes so this could also be a culprit. You can verify, repair and update those as well.

Hey sorry for late reply.

I tried sfc /scannow didnt work.
I'm scared to try ddu wipe because I'm not THAT tech savvy but when trying to uninstall & reinstall gpu driver. AMD didnt have my gpu type listed on their website so I'm scared that will cause more problems if i did ddu wipe. any thoughts?

What type of gpu do you have?
DDU is fairly fool proof, even a child can do it.

Download it, extract to "c:/ddu"
Right click the exe file inside, click Run as admin. Change the Options as shown here...
