@OP: Internet says it will work with a passive adapter.
thanks gotta try this. just remembered that there's DP to HDMI adapter snuck somewhere.
system detect monitor as 60hz monitor and screen-tearing is present.
gotta switch back to hdmi :(. a bit of hassle but no problem.
(i'm pretty sure that DP-HDMI converter is a passive one since it cheap.)
and limited FPS via in-game and AMD-software and RIvaTuner 60fps (with in Freesync Monitor support range).
screen tearing occured.
switched back to HDMI port it work fine though.
