Hearing my own voice (Hyper X cloud revolver) Windows 10 (Solved)

So I just traveled, haven't touched my Headset/mic in about a week. Thinking it might have been damaged, but I'm hearing my own voice through the mic with my headset. It's a Hyper X cloud Revolver, laptop is an Acer predator Helios 300. Was also messing around with the soundboard to try and split sound between two headsets, although at the time my headset was working fine. It's one of those two, and I'm hoping it's not the first.

Google assumes you're hearing your voice through discord, with really not helpful links. As anyone can write an article these days and call themselves a guru. Any good troubleshooting tips? Default trouble shooter in Windows is useless as always.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you enabled playback volume of your microhone.

If so I'm not seeing an option to enable/disable it, do you have any experience with this?

I don't have any apparent playback options, although I do have (Listen to Device) none of those are enabled, and the microphone options all seem normal.

Lovely, The USB dongle on the Hyper X cloud revolver when held for 3-5 seconds enables the playback, super wonky but i'm glad its not a hardware issue. Problem solved

My guess was spot on, but i thought it was the Windows or soundcard mixer that did it.
Wasn't aware that USB soundcards could do that as well. Mine doesn't have any buttons. Not that i could reach it, as it is in a rear USB, out of sight.

Old I know but I just saw this and it fixed the same issue for me. Thanks for the answer.. I was tripping there for a minute.. hehe
