System fans, how to control them
What is the best way to control your system fans. Case and CPU for the most part, I mean.

Pretty much every modern motherboard now comes with smart fan controls for PWM fans built into the bios. Run a configurator and ta daaa, it sets the fan curves. But then theres also generally software with the mobo suites (for myself its Gigabyte's Aorus SIV) to change fan curves or set auto curves or whatever.

Whats the best way to do it, though? is it even important? Do people generally just crank the RPM's to max and go with that? BIOS, or windows software, or does the software affect BIOS at all?

bios is best
if the fans are 4pim (pwm) set bios to use pwm on their headers
if the fans are 2-3 pin, use dc voltage control for their headers

if they are plugged into molex/sata power they will be at 100% all of the time
I think the manufacturers software is the better solution as you can adjust the curves on the fly, instead of having to drop into the BIOS everytime you need/want to adjust them.
