RX 5700 XT worth getting?
is this card worth the cost or is there better options

Edit: One more question is 12 core CPU a must now a days? or are 8 cores fine for gaming? i.e

Ryzen 7 3800X vs a Ryzen 9 3900X

Do I need to get the 9 or is it ok with a 7 will i notice a difference?

I'm happy with mine.
The 5700 XT is a fine card, it's generally cheaper then what the competition has to offer.

The card has some issues with it's drivers on Windows but those should be mostly resolved now.
Get it, it is a BANG FOR YOUR BUCK:BabyBomber:
Good performance for the price. I am on a similar, though slightly slower card from AMD, the Vega 64. Most fo the driver teething issues on the 5700xt I think are passed. Look into which cards are the best. Sapphire is a good company to go for AMD cards now days.

Sapphire makes awesome cards but their warranty and RMA process is crap.
The Adrenalin 2020 drivers are mostly fixed since 20.2.2, so it's definitely worth it now.

I have an AORUS 5700 XT, it runs really cool for a 5700 XT and based on the tests I've seen from HWUB and other reviewers, it seems to be one of the best models of the 5700 XT, particularly in cooling.

meh, I have heard hit or miss... I looked into it heavy when I got my Vega from them.

At least back then 99% of people with RMA issues were ones on referance cards like mine who chose to open them up before RMA to replace TIM or the likes.

Anyone with saphire 3rd party cards had great RMA.
Anyone with a referance card un-touched got RMA.
Anyone who so much as broke the sticker on a referance card was told SOL.

After days of searching I found a statement in an email posted from someone from Sapphire. It basically came down to how AMD handled stock cards. All stock referance Vega *actually* come from AMD and not the 3rd parties. And when they fail the referance cards are sent back to AMD from the 3rd parties. AMD will flat out refuse anything that has been tampered, sticking Sapphire on the hook. So Sapphire just would not accept *any* stock unit that had been modified in the slightest.

And that is why I am still rocking my blower... For a bit less than a year left on warranty. Then it gets an AiO lol...
You can find sapphire pulse 5700xt in 380-400€ range..thats the best bang for buck ever. The driver issues should be fixed with the latest driver finally, and it even made mine boost better around 50-70mhz so 2-3 fps more.

avoid asus, the screwed up their coolers on the 5700XT and then tried to blame AMD like jerks.

Issue with Saphire is that you have to RMA through the original place of purchuse. So the RMA process can take very long, first you have to send it to the seller, then depending on the seller they might send it off to Sapphire. I believe my Vega was send from here in Europe to Sapphire in the US, so that took ages.

Their support is also handled by a third party in Bangladesh and it's staffed by people who barely speak english.

Dont know about that one, but its not worth it to pay 50€ or more for more expensive ones, its not worth it..unless youre an extreme overclocker and want 2-3 fps from that, even then you might have a bad silicon lottery. Watch a review on youtube of the model you wanna buy cuz some are garbage, asus tuf especially.

MSI Gaming X 5700XT is a good card. Avoid the Evoke and Mech versions.

Sapphire has the best reputation, though I went with a Powercolor Red Dragon.
