is this card worth the cost or is there better options

Edit: One more question is 12 core CPU a must now a days? or are 8 cores fine for gaming? i.e


Ryzen 7 3800X vs a Ryzen 9 3900X

Do I need to get the 9 or is it ok with a 7 will i notice a difference?

Never. That is a reference cooler, with horrible noise and temps.

Gigabyte's AORUS model is worth looking into because the cooling is often best.

You cant go wrong with sapphire pulse or nitro so get one if they are available.

Thing about rx5*** in general is - look at "known issues" on amd driver page[www.amd.com]. Stuff is still a mess, some issues for some people were fixed, other were not. Also google it, read about what issues people had and still have with this cards. Then decide if you want it. At least buy it in a place where you can easily return it if you do not like it, because even if it does not work properly actual RMA is very problematic.

I got the Aorus XT. Its pretty awesome. No issues wiith drivers.
