Mobo Cpu Problem Led is On and Pc wont Boot
Hello guys.
I restarted my pc to lower fan rpm but it didnt boot after turning on. I mean all the lights leds fans are working but i dont get anything to monitor. Also the Cpu led is on (red) .
I tried resetting bios with jumper but it didnt work.

Should i reinstall the cpu?

“Ryzen 2600
Asus rog strix x470f
Evga 750w g3
Corsair 3000mhz 2x8 gb vengeance’”

Edit***

I reinstalled the cpu and it didnt work.
What else can i try?

You probably want to start ruling out parts one by one. If you have integrated graphics I would try booting with the display plugged into that to test if your CPU/motherboard/RAM are working. Then you could start trying to diagnose the graphics card. If it doesn't work then you'll start looking at the mobo, cpu, and ram.

Also, I'm not sure if your motherboard has an LED readout to show error codes but those can be helpful sometimes. It will be a number or letter like A6 or G7 and you would look that up in your motherboard manual. OR if you have the little beep speaker it will beep error codes at you to look up.

Thanks. :( i ll have to try a lot of things i guess.....
If reset cmos did not work remove power cord and cmos battery and reset again, replace battery and try booting. Also to rule out a faulty power switch try unplugging the connecter for switch and shorting the pins same way as when resetting cmos and see if it starts ok.

Check that the fan is connected to the cpu fan header, if its not the machine will not start.

Check ram is properly seated and in correct slots, if its not machine will not start.

If it was a faulty power switch, I wouldn't expect fans and LED's to power up, right? And apparently it was working before this from what OP said, so I wouldn't guess ram in the wrong slot or fan header disconnected.

Yea you have a few things to try, but once you get going you can rule out what's NOT the problem, and that's moving in the right direction. It looks like your motherboard does have onboard graphics so I would do that first because it can rule out CPU, motherboard, power supply and RAM which is a large chunk.

Any updates?

Sorry for my late responses.... and thanks for being supportive.

Also i forgot to mention that i dont have an onboard gpu.
My gpu is evga gtx 1080 ftw2.
I will try to borrow a gpu from someone tomorrow to make sure my gpu is allright.

If i cant find a solution i will send my motherboard to service which is under warranty.

What do you mean exactly with "restarted to lower fan RPM"? Do you mean you changed something in BIOS?
If you have the mmotherboard speaker you could try plugging that in to read any beep codes. Also just to be sure, double check that your display works and is powered on and all that.

No i didnt change anything. I was just doing some reading and realized fans were too loud so i decided to restart my computer to change fan settings from asus q-fan control on the bios.(i change fan speeds quite often)

I think i dont have a mobo speaker :/
I checked if it works with another monitor and it didnt. There is no signal at all.

using the same cable or different?
i know it sounds silly but the more you can rule out it will save you from chasing your tail

So yes you did change something in BIOS, you changed the fan settings.

Disconnect the PC from power, hit the power button a few times and then remove the CMOS battery for about 5 minutes.

Yes i get your point, but if power switch sticks in the on position the machine will not start. the other suggestions were because maybe he already tried switching some things around with no success.

Oh ok... but in the end i couldnt... i mean i restarted to change it but it didnt allowed me to do so. There was no signal. But still, i will try that tomorrow and will let u guys know. (Its kinda late right now on my timezone).
Thanks for the support as always Omega.
