Razer BlackWidow without clicking noise?

My current keyboard is pretty old now and i figured i would purchase a new one. I was looking at the Razer BlackWidow, but i found out that it have that crazy clicking sound (i know a lot of you guys love it but the sound would make me crazy over time), so i wondered if it exist a silent version of it or if i could do something to muffle the sound, if so, please let me know. If not, any keyboard recommendations would also be appreciated, thanks!

Just get the Blackwidow with Razer Yellows (Linear and silent, like MX reds) or with Razer Oranges (Tactile and silent, like MX browns)

Razer Greens are the clicky ones, and they're like MX blues (but with less force to activate)


But, if you're going to get a Razer keyboard, get one on sale, becuase they're not worth full price.
The keyboards are good quality, don't get me wrong, but they're not worth that much.

Consider looking at some other keyboards by Corsair or Logitech. (With MX Reds or Browns, or Rommer-G tactile switches)

Logitech's G910 Orion Spark may still be on sale. I got mine for almost 80$ less than full market price.

There are some pretty good keyboard options on the market. Varmilo, iKBC, Vortex, Ducky, Leopold, CM Masterkeys, and Filco are all reputable keyboard makers.

The "gaming keyboards" that you see advertised are mostly pretty terrible for what you can get for any given price range. Consider some of these options and get the silent switches if you can. All of them will still click somewhat though.

Red, brown, blue doesnt really matter much since they all make quite loud clicking sounds, they are mostly different only by how the key press feels.
I have reds and they still make quite a loud clacking especially when you type fast.

If you want silent try some better quality membrane KB in $50-70 range.

He specifically means switches that emit an audible click in addition to typical sounds from the keycap bottoming out. Otherwise, you're right, it's just the feel.

In my opinion, Romer-G Tactile switches are among the best feeling switches available.

Razer Orange are still clicky - being silent doesnt mean really silent but more silent then non-silent switches.

if you want a really silent keyboard, get a silicon keyboard not a mechanical

Ive owned many mechanical keyboards and trust me you dont even notice the noise after a while, especially when wearing headphones and playing game. The tactile feel to them make them 100x better than a membrane or normal keyboard and its generally more responsive.

This. You won't really notice the clicking noise over headphones or the sound of the game. Besides, I rather enjoy the clicking noise, it's one of the reasons to own a mechanical keyboard in the first place.
