Help with RivaTuner, Admin blocking.
Trying to run MSI Afterburner but RivaTurner wont launch and so MSI wont use a the OSD. I get the error :An administrator has blocked you from running this app" then shows RTSS.exe. Ive right clicked and tried running as Admin obviously but I think this account already is Admin. Also Ive let it through the Windows Defender firewall. Ive seen some stuff on using CMP to sign in as admin but I need to launch this RivaTuner every time I launch afterburner. Any help would be much appreciated, ive looked everywhere and found nothing helpful.

Open the 'Registry Editor', and navigate to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System'

Select 'EnableLUA' and change the value to '0' instead of '1'.

Close the 'Registry Editor' and restart the computer for it to take effect.

Okay thanks for so the help, I appreciate it. So after I clicked yes nothing poped up, that including the error so thats good. I tried lunaching it again but nothing pops up, I can see it running in the task manager.

Okay got it, just opened it thorugh the hidden icons tab. Again really appreciate. I couldnt find this info anywhere. Hopefully anyone that looks this up with be directed here.

That's awesome, couldn't even find a fix on the forum made for Rivatuner. You obviously know your stuff and probably kill it at your job, thanks again.

Update to 7.2.2 solved.

You hardly looked for an answer on the forums. Please remove the answer as the selected answer is hardly a fix and makes you vulnerable.. This jackoffasour had you go in and disable your UAC notifications. Setting the flag from 1 (enabled) to 0 (disabled) basically prevents you from being informed when programs try to make changes to your computer.

Ursprünglich geschrieben von Bill Gates:
EnableLUA specifies whether Windows User Account Controls (UAC) notifies the user when programs try to make changes to the computer. UAC was formerly known as Limited User Account (LUA).

All you had to do was update to 7.2.2 and the message would have gone away. If you ever have problems, first update, then consult jackoffasours on the interweb.

Mr. Jackoffasour... I really hope you are not giving this advice out in your I.T. profession.. JFGI next time. I will give credit where credit is due.. You did wrap it in quotes.. high five down low
You shouldn't be running on admin account to begin with. You should be running user, have UAC on, and only allow things you check and know. Even sandbox things, and firewall others.

The above poster is right, turning off UAC is dumb.
