Windows update for this month

Does anyone else has the problem that the game now crashes after the update on Windows 10? Game was working fine yesterday!

have a look if the update function installed the update kb4482887. uninstall it. here you can read the reason why:

maybe this solves your trouble. but it won't maybe. you should try imho.

If it was fine yesterday try using a system restore point to before the issue occurred. If that solves the issue redo windows update and see if it happens again. Always possible something bugged out while updating and caused the issue. Not a specific update.

This is a security update. Remember the most recent Google Chrome update? This one patches similar issues embedded in Windows 10. Do a complete power cycle after your update, then test the reports if they are accurate.

Thank you guys for all the tips, yes it is a security update and therefore I just have to wait for a fix I guess. What I can see is that it does not find the assets for example. In the loading map screen, it shows them who failed before all red,

The fix is released, i just installed it from Windows update a few moments ago
You should automatically get it, i got mine while i was gaming :/

ok, guys, I think I found the issue :) Rookie mistake. I forgot that windows create a windows old folder. I have the whole operating system and game on an SSD and space was down to 4GB. Deleting the old system files still.
Appreciate all the help I got from you guys.
I am sure this solves the issue.

Yeah that would do it, SSD's need a decent amount of free space due to how they work

can you point the game to use the 2nd hard disk?

You can either move the games folder there then verify the game cache, or uninstall the game and when installing it again choose the other drive as the install location.

you can set this up via Settings/Downloads/Steam Library folders and creating a steam folder on that other drive, then when installing games you can choose which drive to install it to

ok, all fixed.
As I have an SSD where the game is installed, windows update created an windows.old folder and filled up the SSD. I had to delete the windows.old and some other crap and change the page size and it is working again.
