How good at cooling are delta fans?

im just wondering about how good at cooling delta fans are cause i'd like to add some jet turbines in my pc cause i heard they provide great cooling and i'd like to get the best cooling i can with air cooling i have a silver stone percision 13

Actually I use silverstone fhp141's (14cm fan w. 12cm mounting holes), they're thicker (38mm) than a regular fan and move 175cfm or something close to that max, from front to back I have 4 in a line like a jet with a shroud to direct the air into the second fan to cool my overclocked fx8370, I'm running it at 4.75ghz with a silverstone heligon he01 cooler.

My rig runs around 30db but if I oc any more the fans start ramping up to max and it's a little noisy at around 40-45db so I run it just shy of max to keep fans around 1700rpm.

Delta fans do move a large amount of air but they make alot of noise, like 60db on some of them. That's like running a large appliance like a vacuum cleaner right next to you. If you use headphones you'll hear it less but you'll still hear it.

I had a delta in an older dell computer and it got stuck on high and after about 5 minutes of it running I had had enough and wound up taking the fan out and replacing it with something a lot less noisy.

I highly recommend the fhp141 fan if you have the space for it. If you set a custom fan profile in the bios of your machine set them to 1700 rpm for optimal performance/noise, 2.2k rpm is more noisy but moves more air and you don't hear the fan so much as you hear the air with the fhp141. With delta and jetflo fans you hear the fan whirring more than you hear the air.

The cooling is unmatched for the fan size, if you put one on a cpu heatsink you'll drop temps 10 degrees or more vs a regular fan. If you have a decent case and good ventilation you'll run close to room temp for most tasks. As such you can achieve much higher overclocks than would be possible otherwise.

They need cleaned more because they move more air (dust builds up on the blades and can collect on the heatsink), and there is greater risk of static charge building up on the heatsink from air friction, so run a ground wire to the case from the heatsink to discharge any static buildup if you really plan on running one.

I would use it with a big tower cooler like a cooler master hyper 612 (very good dissipation and decent price), or if you want to go for broke and put a couple on a bigger heatsink like a dual tower you'll get even better performance but it all comes down to where the fan sits and the number and size of the fins of the heatsink that determine its thermal capacity. For a dual tower setup the HE01 is very very good.
