Laptop will not sleep nor open when I close my lid, the fans go loud and it gets hot very much.
Hi,
I've recently encountered a new issue on my new Huawei Matebook X Pro, when I close my lid, it doesn't sleep, worst of all, it won't open up either. This issue has happened twice, but every time, I was using Sketchup Pro (Software) before it and the laptop is already very hot since my project is very big. I checked "see what closing the lid does", but everything is set to sleep. Is there a possible fix to this? I hope I wont burn my laptop to death with just a silly way.

try manually closing the sketchup pro and see what happens.

maybe when there is a demanding program running, the laptop is automatically set to high performance, leading to sleep/hibernation at OFF.

Shutdown when not using for lengthy periods. It only takes a few secs to boot. You can enable the option to leave active windows and apps open in Folder Options

What the laptop does when the lid is closed can be configured in the Power settings

if the magnetic sensor is messed up that could be why the laptop doesnt detect when the lid is opened or closed.

you can also try waking the system by plugging in a USB device
if that becomes an issue

Could be, and I should close SketchUp everytime before I close my lid and set it to sleep because the more I work on my project on there, the more power-hungry it gets, I'll take that advice as a solution. Thanks.
