PS4 controller cable?

does anyone have a good recommendation for a PS4 charging cable? the one i have, or the controller i have, is very loose, its almost impossible for it to stay connected, and while its bouncing around in and out of connected status its causing all sorts of issues.. i need a good cable thats actually going to stay put and charge properly.. suggestions?

Any Micro-USB cable will do. The question is, is the cable loose, or the port?

I've had a lot of dirt cheap USB-microUSB cables, those fail sooner or later, like pretty much any other cable Just get a better one and you'll be fine.
I personally find bulkier connectors working a bit better, but I've also noticed DS4 charging port becoming a bit loose over time, so it might be better to only use cable for charging, and play using bluetooth. You can disable rumble and/or reduce the LED brightness so you won't have to charge it that often. Honestly - DS4 got so many flaws I stick to DS3 mostly these days.

DS4 has no cable included, so chances are he's already using the one from his smartphone. Tho thing here is most people just live the phone charging overnight, while controller is meant to be wiggled and stuff, so if one's playing games using wire connection - the port will get loose in no time.

True. I merely mention a phone cable as OP may not have one or tried one. Qucik amazon search has plenty of options to choose from.

the controller is fairly new, the charge cable was new when i used it but compared to photos, the little spring clips that are supposed to provide retention look comically small compared to others, i think that could be an issue

I have a friend with this problem. 1 drop of hot glue fixed it...right on the edge of the plugged in cable, so it can be removed easily.

i did that with my PS3 controller that was having issues with connection, and i didnt have a bluetooth adapter to use it wirelessly anyway so i just super glued the cable in.. but this one i do use with bluetooth

now.. this may sound strange AF, but i couldnt get this cable to charge without holding it in specifically the right spot.. so i tried using my pocket knife to raise the little clips a bit for more retention, but couldnt get anything to grab them with, too small, so i tried sawing into the front of the clips with my pocket knife to get something to bite into to pry them out.. couldnt, but after sawing into the back of the clip just a tad, the cable is still loose AF, but no matter which position it wiggles to, things still charging
