78c is this to hot for my pny rtx 2080ti

I have the PNY GeForce RTX™ 2080 Ti 11GB XLR8 Gaming Overclocked Edition and it's been hitting 78c is that to hot and if so any tips on getting the temp down 78c is under load it idles at 42

+1 default fan curve is garbage, everyone should be doing this

It's not throttling, but, it's definetly not boosting as far as it could, it's likely down to bad case airflow and low fan speeds on the card, it's a pretty generic cooler, so I wouldn't expect it to match the top tier versions, but, adjusting the fans should help.

also doesnt help that most cases almost completely choke off the gpu with the psu basement right under it. go water

Bugger, lost my edit.

As reference, my evga 2080ti oc'd and currently running at 1980MHz under full load for the past 3 hours is at 72c with zero air flow as the only fans are on the rear mounted radiator that offers no help to the gpu.

Waiting for ek to release the waterblock so I can go custom loop though, so, that's fine for me hehe.
