If it crashes with the XMP profile: enable XMP and set the clockspeed manually to 2933Mhz.
Ryzen can have issues with higher clocked memory due to how the CPU works. The interposer ticks at the DRAM frequency.
as above, set it to the xmp profile or manually set timings to the xmp/spd profiles
use cpuz spd tab, select dimm to see profiles
3200 ram = 1600mhz, due to how ddr works
Cab it go wrong with me trying to clock my ram? Can it dmg my ryzen procesor?
you should see it in the extreme tweaker ai overclock tuner.
if it's unstable, you can try updating bios. if it still won't work, you can knock the speed down to 2933.
XMP/DOCP up to 3200 should work fine on any B450 and X470 board now, it was only first gen that suffered. Most AM4 boards are far enough into AGESA updates to support at least 3200.
You don't need to overclock DDR4-3200 because it's already more than sufficient. You won't get a significant boost that really justifies the risks of causing damage to your motherboard and/or memory. Running XMP/DOCP is how you get the advertised 3200 MHz frequency and is completely safe, but you don't need to go higher than that.
There are diminishing returns from RAM above 3000 MHz; Ryzen tends to suffer when using RAM slower than 2933, but it won't gain much at all by going above 3200, not enough to really notice in any real-world use.
Another question can i clock ram to 3200 without clocking my CPU?
This will then auto fill the correct timings and voltage, then change DRAM Frequency to 2933
Changing ram settings this way won't effect cpu settings. This is not an OC it's a spec profile preset to allow ram to run at its native full specs

DDR = Double Data Rate.
Can i clock my cpu to 4.2?
And can i clock my ram over 3.200 mhz? because i get blue screen when i try 3.200 mhz
