Can't Overclock my Ram for some reason
Hey guys , i got 2x 8Gb rambs with 3,200 mhz speed.
In my bios it runs at 2,400 mhz . .
I tried to clock it to 3,200 mhz with the right timings and voltage what came with ram and i get BLUE SCREEN.
My Rams - Vengence 2x8GB 3,200 mhz Timing 16-18-18-36 Volts - 1.350
My motherboard is Rog Strix B450-F Gaming
CPU - Ryzen 7 2700x 4.00
GPU - Zotac Amp Extreme 1080 ti 11GB
PLEASE HELP!

Just enable a XMP/AMP profile. Don't manually try to OC the RAM.

If it crashes with the XMP profile: enable XMP and set the clockspeed manually to 2933Mhz.

Ryzen can have issues with higher clocked memory due to how the CPU works. The interposer ticks at the DRAM frequency.

most ram does not like to be overclocked

as above, set it to the xmp profile or manually set timings to the xmp/spd profiles
use cpuz spd tab, select dimm to see profiles

3200 ram = 1600mhz, due to how ddr works

I am new to this so i just dont know where to find XMP profile in my bios.
Cab it go wrong with me trying to clock my ram? Can it dmg my ryzen procesor?

asus calls it d.o.c.p.

you should see it in the extreme tweaker ai overclock tuner.

if it's unstable, you can try updating bios. if it still won't work, you can knock the speed down to 2933.

XMP/DOCP up to 3200 should work fine on any B450 and X470 board now, it was only first gen that suffered. Most AM4 boards are far enough into AGESA updates to support at least 3200.

You don't need to overclock DDR4-3200 because it's already more than sufficient. You won't get a significant boost that really justifies the risks of causing damage to your motherboard and/or memory. Running XMP/DOCP is how you get the advertised 3200 MHz frequency and is completely safe, but you don't need to go higher than that.
There are diminishing returns from RAM above 3000 MHz; Ryzen tends to suffer when using RAM slower than 2933, but it won't gain much at all by going above 3200, not enough to really notice in any real-world use.

So basicly if need to use D.O.C.P. in AI Tweaker and set everything to auto and put frequency to 3200 and if i get blue screen i can try to put it down to 2933?
Another question can i clock ram to 3200 without clocking my CPU?

U just select DOCP > XMP/AMP Profile > 3200

This will then auto fill the correct timings and voltage, then change DRAM Frequency to 2933

Changing ram settings this way won't effect cpu settings. This is not an OC it's a spec profile preset to allow ram to run at its native full specs

So the thing i did is my ram now is 2933 mhz and i clock my cpu base 3.7 to 4 mhz and it runs perfectly. Benchmark score 1645. But in CPU Z programm , it shows my rams as SINGLE. is it ok? My cpu temp is 36 *C

If ram is single then they are installed wrong. Try installing them into slots 2 and 4. Slot 1 being the closest to the cpu socket

So i have to change position to 2 slot and 4 slot? because atm i have one at 3 slot and second at 4 slot

Yes try slots 2 and 4 so it's in dual channel mode

I did it , i have set my rams o 2.933 mhz. But it shows half of it here like 1.400+ mhz is it right?

1463 x 2 = 2926 = 2933Mhz

DDR = Double Data Rate.

Ohh got it , thank you !
Can i clock my cpu to 4.2?
And can i clock my ram over 3.200 mhz? because i get blue screen when i try 3.200 mhz
