What’s a reasonable price for a used GTX 980 Ti 6gb?

Of the three cards the GTX 970 offers the best bang for your buck, in-fact the GTX 970 is still one of best value cards available. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Nvidia-GTX-960/Rating/3165

Op asked for the 980 ti, not 970 or 960.

To op, even if its a strong gpu, I would skip old gen and save for at least a 1070, 2gb more and newer tech.

170-200$ the 980ti is the same performance as a 1070 but with 2 less GB of ram.

Now I realize that you're looking for the 980TI. But, I'd honestly like to know your budget. On eBay I bought a GTX 1070 Founders Edition used for 250 USD. And it came in mint condition with everything included in the box. So if your budget is around there why not buy that? But if you're really sold on wanting a GTX 980TI for a certain price, I can try to find one for you.

I currently have my max GPU clock set to 1403MHz. I rarely mess with memory clock.

In that screenshot I was actually playing Trackmania United. Not much of a load, but definitely powerful. Max temp got to 29C

This is actually my video card:

It used to be close performance but 980ti is starting to lag behind in more recent games.

I'd be looking at GTX1070/70ti at this time.

There's no such card a s "970 ti" (that seems to be giving scores for a 1070 ti which does exist) and even if there was a 970 ti, it would not be faster than a 980 ti in the same way a 1070 ti is not faster than 1080 ti.

Depends on the 980 ti. Most are around that level but I have the gigabyte 980 ti waterforce which at stock levels (due to factory overclocks) it kinda hovers somewhere between a 1070 ti and 1080.

It was the most beastly 980 ti you could get. If someone offers you one for a good price..take it.

What would be a good price for something like that?

Food for thought DX12 was not supported well on the 9xx series that's why 10xx came out.

If you insist on the GTX980ti pay as little as possible vs what used GTX1070s are going for.

Better off with RTX 2060 for $350.
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12748135 just to give you an idea, practically free with the system

Get a 2060 and be done with it, it’s a great card
Maxwell overclocked well and Pascal didn't, which is why a well OC'ed 980Ti can even beat out an OC'ed 1070.

If budget is an issue, a 980Ti for $150-200 is still a solid card. The only downside is that the card itself is 3.5+ years old (turns 4 years old in June 2019). Some cards will have been just a gaming card, normal use, other cards will fall into that mining craze and may have been just a work horse 24/7. Also, most 980Ti cards have out lived their factory warranty. Zotac has 3 years, EVGA I think is 3 years now......any card you get will most likely not have a warranty on it, plus most warranties don't cover the product when it changes ownership.

I still have and both work great, my 980Ti cards in my two computers. 980Ti will play, maxed 1080p without an issue and be able to handle 1440p well. The 6GB VRAM they have is still pretty good by today's standards and it shouldn't be a limitation by any means. However, it's an older card. Only go that route if you have no other choice.

Two other suggests were already offered in this tread and they're pretty good ones, if you can afford it.
1) If you can spend upwards of $350, as others suggested a RTX 2060 would be good.
2) If you're looking to keep the budget lower, a new RX 580 for around $200 is a solid card for 1080p. It's about 15-20% slower than a 980Ti, but still a great deal if you're want something that won't break the bank.
