How much wattage do I need?
Hello everyone,
I'm planning on building my first PC soon enough and I'm starting to choose various parts.
PCPartPicker helped me for this, but I don't know what PSU & wattage should I get.
Here's the part list:

CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 1700
Motherboard : ASRock AB350 Pro4
RAM : Kingston FURY (2 * 4 GB)
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 250 GB (3.5 inches, 7.2K RPMs)
GPU : Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 550 4GB
+ Gaming Mouse and Keyboard

Also, the case is going to have 3 120mm fans.

Thanks in advance!
(P.S.: Sorry for the potential bad english)

What about EVGA 500 W1?

terrible PSU. even tho White or Bronce are only power effiency and not quality, you can in general assume that PSU that not even have a bronze cert are trash.

Hmm. OK. I'll stick to the Seasonic 520W you told me about.

Thank you guys so much for your advice!

Yeah lol. Everyone said something different. I decided tho, that Seasonic 520 watts looks pretty OK.

Here it gose, as long as the PSU is a good quality unit:
450W is OK for any budget to mid-range setup with out too much overclocking.
Around 550W your are looking high mid-range, something like 1660Ti/2060/2070+8700K/2700X.
650W~750W is pretty much all you need with any single graphics card rig. As long as you are not rocking heavily overclocked Vega 64 and i9 9900K and torture the CPU and GPU at the same time.
Hell I have a SeaSonic 750W unit in my TR1950X+Titan Xp office rig doing scientific computing. Heavy load on both CPU and GPU for days and the PSU still holds on fine. Gamers really don't need high wattage PSU.

What range would you define an RX 570?
tacoshy 6/abr./2019 às 8:47
Low range - even most high end rigs don't even pull 400W. 520W-550W are fine for further upgrades and even high end Rigs. Pre-build proof it all the time and ppl with a watzmeter can confirm it aswell.

using your 1700 / 2x8gb / ssd+hdd / rx 570 / fans I get this from the outervision psu calc[outervision.com]:

Load Wattage: 338 W Recommended PSU Wattage: 388 W Amperage (combined) +3.3V +5V +12V 9.6 A 8.7 A 21.9 A 76 W 262 W

So yea a 450w unit still good. If you want to go for the Seasonic 520 that works just as well.

Looking at the current deals these are really good:

Seasonic S12III 500 SSR-500GB3 $27 ($40 w/ $15 MIR +$2 shipping)[www.newegg.com]

Seasonic S12III 650 SSR-650GB3 $32 ($55 w/ $15 MIR + $2 shipping)[www.newegg.com]

Ahh, another psu calculator suggesting the system uses wayyyy more power than it actually does (tried with my rig).
