Nvidia Experience
Shows in tray as NVIDIA Settings.
How do you disable this from auto starting? They seem to have gone to great lengths to stop users from preventing it starting with windows. If you kill it, it will be back there in the tray after some time, creepy.
I do use it sometimes but I don't need it to run every time I start my PC.
Before I just outright delete it, is there a way to disable it from auto start?

There is no such option. It's hidden everywhere. CCleaner can't find it, task manager can't find it

Are you confusing nvidia control panel with nvidia experience?

It runs in the system tray as 'NVIDIA Settings'

Go into Nvidia control panel, along the top, click desktop, then uncheck Show notification tray icon.

That isn't GFE. That's the Nvidia control panel. I honestly do not know how to remove that myself, it doesn't really bother me much. But yeah, I have the same thing so you're not alone.

Yes, but both are together in the tray..

Haven't bothered with GFExp in years personally. NCP on the other hand is actually very useful and shouldn't be removed under any circumstance.

In terms of actual GF Experience, does it show up in Task Manager/Startup (if still win7 I think you have to do Run/msconfig)? Disable it there?

Or under Computer Management/Services and Applications/Services, if it's in that list you can try setting its Startup type to Manual under Properties, if it's set to be Automatic.

You uninstall Geforce Experience using Control Pannel or Apps and Features.

Then you restart your PC to finish the uninstall.

Never install GFE again. It’s bloatware.

It’s included in the driver packages. If you chose to agree, it installs, if you don’t agree, only everything else installs in the package without GFE.

Kinda could be classified as bloatware as it installs by Default UNLESS you specifically tell it not to, which most people dont. And it can cause more problems instead of actually being useful.
