Cracked laptop case
I have an HP pavillion 2 in 1, the battery isnt very good (2 hours) and has prettty bad build quality, recently i noticed a medium sized crack and some dents, nothing is exposed, just an anoying crack, back to the issues before, I wanted to get a replacment but i think the cracks may effect this, reccomedations?

Replacement as in RMA to get a new one from HP? No, it shouldn't as that's a problem with their design and materials in their product.

If the damage has nothing to do with the reason you're returning it, they still have to repair it (replace battery) but they may refuse to replace it.

I'm fairly sure you're going to be footing the bill for this one. HP (battery) casings don't crack and dent on their own, and wear and tear affecting the level of charge the battery can hold is normal, expected and not grounds for a replacement.

Just look up the laptop model and buy a replacement battery for it off ebay. HP isn't going to help you when there are physical damages that was not due to them shipping you the product
