Home keys locked (asdfjkl;)

Hello all
I got my new laptop a few months ago. For a while I had no issues with it. In the last week or so, the home row keys have stopped working. I can only get them to work occasionally if I use the Stickey keys shortcut multiple times and press "No" every time, and most the time it doesn't work. Even when it does work, they keys stop working again the next time I turn on the computer. I've also tried cleaning under the keys to no avail. It's obviously a software issue otherwise the sticky keys fix wouldn't work at all, but I want to know how to PERMENANTLY fix it.
Any suggestions?

Buy a new keyboard for that laptop.

Also just tried a keyboard tester, and it doesn't recognize when Im pressing the home row keys at all
And Id like to avoid buying a new keyboard or shipping it off somewhere if at all possible

Hookup a usb keyboard and test that. If works fine you need to replace the laptop keyboard. Easy to replace via a couple screws, cheap via ebay
