It's entirely possible to kill parts with sweat. However, I don't know how someone could sweat that much, or what would even cause it.
Another reason is he could have heavy hands (he smacks his ♥♥♥♥ around loads.)
it could also be your mashing your keyboard so much, maybe some faulty switches, who knows
but there are keyboards out there that allows your to take off the switches without any soldering
so if a switch breaks, you can just cheaply and easily replace it
the only keyboard i know that has it is the tecware phantom, its off-brand but its still a damn good keyboard
it comes with outemu red/blue/brown switches, but i plan to replace the switches with kailh box reds
Yes, it's possible to short boards out with sweat, sweat is basically just salt water. It's impossible to know unless you tell us more. But either way, I have a couple of recommendations: get a waterproof keyboard or start using keyboards with key switches that are harder to press down on. Perhaps Cherry MX Blues or Browns?
Yes I do game a lot, but im not particularly rough with the keyboards. I dont think it could be me being to rough as this never happens when I use a membrane keyboard. The first keyboard the top row of letters went, I cant remember the exact keys on the second one but they were still around WASD and then on my most recent keyboard the D key has started to lose responsiveness so im just assuming that its gonna end up the same.
Oh and the first keyboard was a massive chunky roccat keyboard I dont remember the exact model. The second one was this Fnatic one again dont remember the exact model. And then my most recent one was just a cheap off brand one that had good reviews on amazon.
thanks for the help
Also, consider building your own keyboard. That way you know you're buying quality because you can cherry-pick the individual parts and construct it yourself.
