Listen to another audio source through line in but with USB headphones?

Kind of a weird, off the wall, question, but is it possible to listen to another audio source like a TV or monitor line out with USB audio on windows 10? I realize it's possible with a normal wired setup, you just increase the volume of the line in through realtek sound manager, but considering USB audio doesn't go thorough realtek is it still possible?

You could run a long single 3.5 male to female , connect the male to the TV headphones line out, connect female end to set of ear plugs and listen to TV.
The headphones line out jack on the TV cuts the sound off on the TV speakers so only the ear plugs work
It also means running a cable across the floor.
Volume is adjustable through the TV remote control.
I use this method to watch TV at night in bed and wont disturb anyone.
There new devices that connect the smart TV to the internet

Alternatives is free to air online, or radio and TV stations online that have on demand or something like that.
Then you could use the usb headphone on your PC.

On my PC I have set of Logitech speakers the front speaker has headphone line out jack also an audio in line 3.5 mm. with a volume knob.
You could run a single 3.5 mm from TV headphones out male to male to that line in on PC speaker - switch speakers off and use USB head phones.

yes, but windows capture/replay will add delays to the audio

go to windows sound control panel -> recording tab -> select device -> properties
enable and listen tab -> listen to device, select what card to play it back on

on windows mixer (for playback device) it will give a vol control for the source device

it will work, but give about 1/4 (250ms) sec delay

Yeah that's what I have now, but's it's less than ideal especially for gaming.. It seems like such a simple thing to be impossible.

if using the same sound card for capture and playback, the card driver has settings to output the source signal with no delay

windows audio control panel -> playback tab -> select device to capture and play -> properties -> levels tab -> unmute line/mic and use its vol slider
