Laptop fan runs high continuously...is this ok?
I own a new hp envy laptop.

It was working fine for 6 months. Suddenly, over the last month, the laptop fan has been running high continuously while gaming in steam and while using some non-steam related applications.
It is NOT an abnormal noise - just the fan always running loud constantly.

I tried everything to fix the problem with no luck.
Now it looks like I just have to live with it.

My question is:
Will leaving the fan like this cause any problems for the computer?
Wear and tear? Decrease in computer lifespan?
I'm assuming the life expectancy of the computer will decrease a bit due to the fan finally failing from overuse

Just FYI :

I've traced the high running fan problem to disk usage / transfer.
In task manager, the disk usage amount goes to 100% and the fan kicks in. It's just a high transfer rate caused by background processes when you use certain applications.

From what I know so far, a recent windows update causes this and it seems to be a pretty common problem.

There are some general fixes on the web

Hope this post might help people who are troubleshooting the same issue.
