1180+ ?
With the naming convention 1180+ popping up along side mentions of 1180, 1170 & 1160 products, one cant help but wonder if the “plus” could be a new Titan level card for prosumers?
With the “V” NVidia moved the Titan brand fully out of the gaming sector so maybe rather than a Titan X we’ll get a “plus”
Gv102 & 104 details are emerging and let’s not forget that for pascal, the Titan x was out just weeks after the 1080.
Offering such a card is a good way of extracting maximum cash to get ti performance early.

I think there's something to that idea.

1180+ might be 1180 with Tensor Cores added for the AI calculations and such, which there is 64 of in the Titan V.

So the 1180+ might have something like 16-32 Tensor cores in it.
And later they will bring 1180Ti+ which will have 48-64 Tensor Cores in it. while normal 1180Ti will lack them.

Maybe it's just a new name to replace "Ti". Perhaps it's much easier to spell...

Or the 5000 odd cores at closer to 2ghz to get circa 15-16 tflops.

We don't have any credible information at all about Nvidia's new products. All of the "leaks" so far have been from known clickbait channels, Chinese websites of ill repute and otherwise. So anything you've seen so far should be approached with caution at the very least.

nvidia doesnt want the free internet press to talk about future gfx boards before nvidia does. or did i get it wrong?
kind regards

Nvidia has said nothing about a 1180+ so it's not even a thing.

As has been said, nothing but speculation at this point.

Even if an 1180+ will exist, it could be nothing but a marketing name for pre-binned cards that come with an overclock or means it has RGB lighting.

They really need something in the 16 tflop range. I got my Pascal Titan x day one, August 2016 and at 2 years old it trades blows with the ti and is right on the coattails of the XP. Two years and it’s still at the top end. If 1180 is 13 flops that isn’t enough to get 4K 60fps maxed in AAA titles nor enough to warrant an upgrade. I won’t buy one anyway as I bought a 1080 at launch and then apparently due to a bet, the Titan came out a few weeks later so am wary of getting it done to me again.
