(MOD PLEASE LOCK) What's a good 500$ PC build for gaming?
After asking around about upgrading workstations into gaming PC's , I realized and eventually came down to the conclusion that if I need a gaming PC , I have to build one myself and have a modern system.
So instead of asking in the previous discussion I created here I decided to create a new one.
So what is a good build for 500$? I live in Bulgaria , so I hope I can get in the 500$ price range of the parts.
Generally speaking , Im aiming to play games like Apex Legends , R6S, GTA 5 on 1080p.
I only need a keyboard and a monitor.

I also looked in Omega's pc build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Yk3qNq , but I really want to try add a GPU and a better CPU in the price range of 500$.
Is it possible?

With such a tight budget, no. You would need to increase your budget to afford a good enough dedicated GPU for a Ryzen 5 2600 or 1600 AF to be worth it.

My recommendation: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GxHkq3

Could also go with a 1650 Super instead, but I don't really recommend it. Won't last long.

Avoid pre-built.
I would recommend a decent i5 pair with RX580 and 16GB ram dual channel.
You can do the research on the best budget cpu.

Literally just the 1600 AF, it's 99$ US but performs like the 2600, which costs 130$

1600AF + new RX 560 or used graphics card, probably more like $550

1600af,16gb and rx580 min boost the budget up if it needs it.

For some reason, PCPP doesn't even have record of the 12nm chip. Shame too, because the 1600 12nm makes the 2600 basically irrelevant if its available in your country. Same performance, but costs around 30$ less.

They have opted not to list it in the picker until they get confirmation from board partners which 300/400 series boards have official support, but they have an entry for the product.
