Best DDR4 Memory stick for Asus X99-A motherboard?
I'm looking to add an additional 16 GB (8GBx2) of memory on my motherboard, and I want to be certain to get the best and/or most reliable out of what I'll pay for.

Motherboard's manual only shows a maximum of 3000 MHz, this one's 200 above. You sure it could still boot?

Beware that on x99 you have 4 channel memory, so ideally you want to add sticks in 4x kits.
If you want it to work without issues look at what you have now, get as similar to that as possible.
Also post cpu-z validation link, this way it would be easier to tell what you have now.

So you have 2 8gb 2400 sticks which are running at 2133, because 2133 is maximum for this cpu without overclocking.
IMO - just buy a couple of the same cheap 2400 sticks. You can also try to switch frequency to 2400, it should work, but higher frequencies, like 3000+ ones, are not achievable on this cpu-s because of memory controller. You also do not really need higher frequencies - with quad channel even at 2133Mhz it will be faster than on most modern desktop systems with dual channel anyway.

Just enable xmp in bios and run your 2x 8gb at 2400. Unless you were looking to get maybe 32gb ram, why bother
