That is an exceptionally weak APU. Expect garbage performance.

Integrated GPUs don't have VRAM at all, they just use RAM as VRAM. Pretty much like the dedicated GPUs, whenever they're out of VRAM they have on card.

Up to half of your RAM whenever it's needed no matter how much VRAM it say it has.

According to the Hades[www.epicgames.com] storefront, it says you need a dual-core 3ghz with 1mb VRAM min and 3.6ghz / 2mb vram recommended and only states it needs OpenGL 2.1+.

The older A4 APUs support OpenGL 4.2, so the same will hold for your A8. Should not have a problem with running the game, seems very lightweight on requirements.

more vram does not make it any better

there are 4g gt cards or you can allocate 16g to the newer intel hd, much weaker than the 1060 3g

the amd apu, cpu and gpu are a good match for eachother
weak cpu with weak gpu, good enough to run windows
but not good for demanding games made within the last 15 years

All those apus can use is up to 2gb vram of your system ram, which will be dirt slow. If for games always use a dedicated gpu, even a gtx 750 Ti would run circles around old amd fm2 apu stuff

Not really, no. 2GB VRAM is how much you can manually allocate to it, making it only accessible by GPU. If more VRAM is needed - it can still be taken from shared RAM. All GPUs work like that, either it would've been impossible to play games that require more VRAM than is present in the system. In fact it is better to set dedicated VRAM to something smaller, so Windows can still use shared RAM when it's needed as RAM and not as VRAM.

As much as it's configured in BIOS to have, for these chips that will be 128MB up to 2GB. Increasing the amount of prealocated Vram will NOT improve performance.

When the APU runs out of allocated video memory it will start using the system memory instead which is the exact same thing it is using for it's video RAM.

Allocating more video RAM will only steal RAM away from the system.
