steam_icon.exe and set the shortcut to use that exe for its icon
I got steam updates turned off with an cfg file. With this in the cfg file. So i don't even get updates for steam no more.
BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable
BootStrapperForceSelfUpdate=disable
You don't have to use the new library in the latest client, just switch the view mode. And set steam library settings to; low bandwidth mode and low performance mode to avoid the steam client using alot more ram and using alot more Internet data.
Lol You sound like a pushy used car salesman lol. It's working fine and the icon in the exe has been staying for 6 days now. This is as bad as you people trying to push spydows 10 on me.
I guess you won't be buying any of the latest games then?
As sometimes when changing icons, they do change but in one area or another might appear to have not changed, simply due to current icon cache
So no list of games that only run on windows 10. Also i already made a batch file to do this plus my icons never screw up and don't need to refresh it every time windows loads. All that does is cause files to load slower when ran at startup cause it has to make the thumbnails and icons again. And when you got 8 hard drives with files that takes awhile.
You still don't get the point of anything. You will accept your ways until something stops working. To which I will say " I told you so"
Like wtf do people think it's ok to still be on Win7. It's just like XP at this point... Dead.
Until you're hand is forced.
That's all I'm saying. These things with the steam client and os, etc. It's not always a kill switch kind of thing that occurs. But over time Win7 and 8 will have the same issue as XP. Hardware and Drivers that no longer support it. Followed by Software, like Steam. If even not Steam, the others will occur leaving users no choice.
I'm not trying to debate what you do or how you use your PC, put on it, etc. Was just making some suggestions.
