Basically anything before AC moved over to the next generation of consoles - with the exception of the remastered should work, albeit not at 60fps though.
Unity, Origins, Oddessey, probably won't even load let alone run.
Yeah already had that experience with syndicat , but I am glad steam refunded it.
its weaker than a gt710

the first one is from 2008, will work good
2nd one from 2010 will also be fine
bro and rev, 2011 look to use the same engine as 2 (same sepcs)
freedom 2014, and later will be way beyond what the laptop can do
reqs c2q or pii x4, and gtx 260 or better

Also, since config file of AC games always had a lot of hidden options, you might want to check videos like the ones LowSpecGames channel has. Look, they're using very similar setup in this video.
Also don't miss Revelations, it's the third game in AC 2 trilogy, so should run just as good as Brotherhood. AC: Rogue and AC 4 don't have the CPU-related issues like AC 3 has, they're closer to AC 2 then to AC 3 in how they work, and whenever it's just GPU being an issue - you can also adjust settings and get better framerate.
I'd say use RTSS to limit your framerate to 30 in AC 3, AC 4, AC: Rogue, so there won't be major FPS fluctuations, to me games feel much better when framerate doesn't jump from 20-30 when on the ground to 40-60 when climbing the building, but that's just me.
And yeah, definitely think if you're able to build some PC from used parts. Just a month ago I bought GTX 650 for $6, gotta watch for those deals. Basically some used office machine with i5/i7 2nd gen or newer plus some used card - and there you have an entry-level gaming PC with way better performance than your laptop has, can be done under $100 these days. Just whenever buying anything used - double check it, triple check it. If you had such a PC for games, you could've get an SSD for you lappy and install something like Linux Mint to it, such combo can turn an old lappy to something close to a MacBook for browsing, documents and stuff.
