Asus Aura not working on laptop

I cannot get my keyboard to be recognized by Asus Aura or the Armoury Crate software for my laptop - FX505DY. I've downloaded the drivers from ASUS support website as well as installed Armory crate and ROG Aura from the Windows store.

The only thing I can get it to do is adjust brightness in the ROG aura software, which I could already do using the function keys.

Laptop is FX505DY running Windows 10 with the latest updates.

Your laptop is not on the list of ASUS Aura sync compatible devices.

The marketing material has the Aura stamp on it when it talks about the keyboard though. It does say "can be controlled via the TUF Aura Core panel" which would be just as well with me.

I dont think this model has full RGB, but I would still like to have access to the other effects. Its the FX505DY-ES51

Bottom of the drivers section there's one named 'hotfix'. Try that. This is assuming your model has RGB back lighting. For the future never download drivers/software from the MS store. Do it straight from ASUS.

I've gotten that already. From what I can tell it hasn't done anything at all since the keyboard is still not even seen by the Armory Crate software.
