Sapphire RX 5700 vs Sapphire RX 5700XT (blower)
Should I go with the sapphire pulse rx 5700 or sapphire rx 5700xt (blower)? The 5700xt is cheaper than the pulse by £30.

I will play 1080p 144hz.

What's your budget?
And what's your current PSU?
My budget is under £380, the RX 5700XT (blower) is £345 and the RX 5700 (pulse) is £368.

I will go with a Corsair TXM 650W (80 +Gold).
An experienced user can flash an XT BIOS onto a non-XT card. Pulse is better for the cooler and that potential. (Flashing a 5700XT BIOS onto a 5700 basically gives it 5700XT performance, but it may void the warranty and it should have a dual BIOS switch in case something goes wrong)

Flashig bios does not give 5700 full performance of 5700XT. Frequencies will be the same, but disabled compute units will stay disabled unfortunately.

Also IMO blower is BAD and it is better to sacrifice some performance and get a card with better cooling.

No, it literally gets XT level performance.
Do not buy those in a blower model, they get way too hot. Buy one with a decent after-market cooler.
Wow 10% for a voided warranty lmao, for such a expensive card not worth the risk.

CU-s stay disabled, however:

Another question is what is limiting performance in which games and how important those CU-s are...

Also as far as i know all the advantages of flashing XT bios in this case can be achieved by modding SPPT without voiding warranty and completely risk-free.

Just OC the gpu, don't flash it.
Should I go with the sapphire pulse 5700 then?
You can get close to 5700 XT level of performance or even surpass it without flashing the bios. The method is called SoftPowerPlayTables[www.igorslab.de]. Exact the same effect without flashing your bios, it even offers more headroom to OC. But beware!

As for every blower-style cooler, it is audible under stress.

Go look at the reviews of the various 5700 offerings before buying.
I think I'll go with the RX 5700, I play at 1080p anyways so it wouldn't benefit me apart from an extra 20 fps or more/less.
