Bios settings

Do I need to change anything in my bios to improve gaming performance or do I just keep the bios settings on default?

Depends what type of bios u have. You could overclock but you need to know what you are doing. There's also some simple options that you could turn on or off depending on the bios. Find out what bios u have and maybe watch a guide or something. If you have the same as me maybe i could help, since i overclocked mine.

I have bios version 2006 for Asus tuf b450 plus gaming, good to know is that I have a OC GPU

You should have an option to go from balance to performance when you open the bios, it's a simple option that could help. If you really want to get the best of your hardware i"m sure you could find a video that explains way better than me typing. Asus bios are pretty much the same and also simple, should be easy to find.

If running Ryzen 3000, update to the latest bios with agesa 1.0.0.4 B and do a per CCX OC, boost is broken trash

U0date to latest non-beta bios version

Set dram to xmp

Set ssd as primary/only boot device

Disable intel SpeedStep or amd cool & Quiet

Set Windows power options to high performance. Edit this profile and set hdd sleep timer to 0

Disable Fast Boot in bios and fast startup in Win10

Disable hibernation via CMD (run as admin) > powercfg -h off
Press enter, then restart Windows

Set Pagefile to None, set, click ok, reboot. Then set Pagefile to manual, min/max to 8192 or 16384, whichever size works best for you, 8gb vs 16gb. Then click set, click ok, restart

Set steam client settings to:
Disable hardware accel/encoding
Enable low performance mode for Library
