Rate My PC Build
So, it isn't really mine, I ripped it from Austin Evans "How to build a gaming PC (2019)" Video.

I want to know if there's anything I'm missing, if it'll quickly become obsolete, or if it's just a bad way to go in general.

Your build has an m.2 SSD, and one HDD, so you'll still have 3 SATA ports open after that, so 3 SATA drives can be added later on still if needed. Plenty.

Nice! I'll just pick out a different keyboard/mouse and I think I'm good. Thanks bro!
No problem

6.5/10, maybe 7/10 is what I'd give it.

This work for you OP? Also:

It looks good to me. It's got another error message though, says "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." Are those two ports something I'll ever need open?

Also I'll take your advice on the Razer stuff, so I'll change those up in a bit.
The motherboard has 6 SATA ports, so unless you're going to have more than 4 drives plugged in, not an issue.

I won't rate it but a potentially better strategy is to concentrate on key components with the initial purchase and upgrade the others over time, if future income permits. For example are you going to fill 2TB initially, or require gaming keyboard/mouse, windows. You could have $500 to put in to buy better main components.

The asus prime b450 plus is a bad pick. ^

1660ti runs less $ than the Rx 590 and is better.

It all looks like a mish mash slapped together with not much of a thought.

I'm not trying to be snarky, but do you know any good motherboard picks for $100?. I'm actually looking. Best thing I can find for less than $150 is the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon and that's like $130-150.

I guess you're both right. Embarrassing thing is that I would rather pay for the meme rgb on the Carbon. Looks cool. I'm tired of a boring looking board, heh. Maybe that's why I hadn't considered those boards earlier. I know they're frequently mentioned.

I do want the built in wi-fi capability though, so I suppose I would just be better off with the Carbon. I do already have a wi-fi network card, but it's been acting up a bit so as a last resort would switch back to it.

Edit: wow, I can't go to any of those boards. Too few rear usb ports. I guess I've been spoiled by my AB-350 gaming. I've got six to use and that's apart from the two I plug my keyboard/mouse in. I almost goofed, because I wan't even paying attention to that. I know I could add a usb/pci card or whatever but don't want to do that.
