Not sure exactly what you mean, but I have a VESA mountable monitor, and the actual mount is just simply 4 screw holes in the monitor. There's nothing to actually detach.

If you're talking about the regular like stand, stand, yes it should be detachable. But that monitor you linked is very old and just isn't very good, so not sure. Not 1080p, TN panel, only 60hz.

most with a vesa mount have a removable foot

whats the point of having the mount then not being able to use it if the foot will block the vesa stand

iv seen a few tvs that come with a plug to cover the foots mount so it looks nice when wall mounted

any monitor withj Vera capabilities should have a way to remove the stand. Same goes for TV's.

The stand often protrudes out the back and would result in poor Vesa fitting if not impossible fitting if the stand stays attached.

If you buy a monitor the stand isn't attached in the first place. The instructions will tell you how to attach the stand. therefore you either don't attach it or follow instructions in reverse.

I would look at these specs as minimum for a display today...

24 inch
1920x1080
144hz
DisplayPort
Hdmi is fine but this is generally for use on systems you don't intend to use the high refresh rate on, like a server or for general pc testing, or maybe a game console.
